Provide immediate support for student behavior incidents; conduct follow-up conferences with students. Develop individualized behavior plans in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and families. Track behavior data and trends; create action plans to address patterns or recurring challenges. Support students returning from suspensions, absences, or major incidents with re-entry plans. Facilitate conflict resolution, restorative conversations, and peer mediations as appropriate for young children. Collaborate with counselors and teachers to ensure SEL lessons and initiatives are consistently implemented. Model and teach SEL strategies (emotion regulation, coping skills, problem-solving). Support students experiencing emotional dysregulation or crisis; coordinate follow-up interventions. Connect families with school-based or community mental health resources. Participate in or help lead wellness, anti-bullying, and character-education campaigns. School Culture, Climate, and Safety Implement Character Education Program Promote a positive, inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and safe. Lead initiatives and all celebrations that encourage kindness, respect, responsibility, and school pride. Celebrate student growth and positive behavior through recognition programs. Support a culturally responsive environment by fostering respect for diverse backgrounds. Maintain visibility throughout the school hallways, classrooms, and playgrounds to prevent issues proactively. Oversee and support daily routines, including arrival, dismissal, hallway transitions, lunch, and recess. Oversee the School Safety Plan and its implementations Respond to and document incidents of student safety or emergencies. Support implementation of school safety procedures, emergency drills, and crisis response. Ensure safe use of playground equipment and adherence to recess expectations. Family, Community, & Staff Collaboration Communicate with families regarding student behavior, needs, and successes in a positive and proactive manner.(Class Dojo, Parent Square) Meet with parents/guardians about behavior concerns, intervention plans, and student progress. Coordinate family meetings, conferences, or support sessions as needed. Promote strong school-family partnerships, ensuring families feel welcomed and informed. Attend PTO meetings. Provide teachers with behavior-management tools, classroom strategies, and coaching support. Assist teachers with classroom observations and follow-up plans related to behavior or engagement. Support staff with de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches. Participate in grade-level or team meetings to discuss student needs and support plans. Administrative & Operational Support Update daily coverage document to ensure all positions are covered. Maintain accurate documentation of behavior incidents, interventions, and follow-up actions. Prepare behavior reports and data for administrators, support teams, or district requirements. Assist with planning school events, assemblies, and community-building activities. Support the implementation of schoolwide policies and procedures. Participate in professional development and committees related to student support. Track attendance data, identify concerns, and partner with families to improve student attendance. Conduct attendance meetings and create attendance improvement plans when necessary. Collaborate with the
MTSS/RTI
