$425000.00 - $425000.00 Private Health system in Maryland is seeking a dedicated and dynamic physician leader to serve as the Associate Program Director (APD) for a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program . This is an exciting opportunity to help build and shape a residency program within a rapidly expanding academic health system and a newly established osteopathic medical school. Emergency Department details- Over 70,000 Emergency Department visits annually
- Service area of more than 200,000 patients across Washington County and neighboring regions in West Virginia and Pennsylvania
- Nearly 4,000 trauma cases per year
- Transitioning from a Level III to a Level II Trauma Center
- Largest employer in Western Maryland This high-volume, high-acuity environment offers an exceptional foundation for Emergency Medicine training. Position Overview
- Support the development, ACGME accreditation, and implementation of a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program
- Assist in building a program grounded in clinical excellence, innovation, and community-focused care
- Provide leadership in curriculum development, resident education, and program evaluation
- Serve as a key educator and mentor for residents and medical students Administrative and clinical responsibilities will be structured to support both program development and clinical practice. $425,000 base salary plus sign on bonus Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Director with preparation and submission of ACGME accreditation materials
- Participate in curriculum design, implementation, and continuous improvement
- Supervise, teach, and mentor residents in clinical and didactic settings
- Contribute to resident evaluation, feedback, and milestone assessment processes
- Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of residents
- Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional policies
