Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Boys Head Bowling Coach for the upcoming seasonal bowling program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of bowling techniques, strategies, and coaching principles. This position requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances the skills and performance of student-athletes.
  • Conduct regular practices, drills, and competitions, ensuring a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture that encourages participation, respect, and personal growth among athletes.
  • Monitor and assess individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Organize and coordinate all aspects of the bowling program, including scheduling practices, competitions, and team events.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all school and league regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a holistic athletic program within the school.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and conducive to training and competition.
  • Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and trends in the sport. Requirements
  • Previous coaching experience in bowling or a related sport is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bowling techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
  • Must pass a background check and comply with all school district policies.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends during the bowling season.
  • A passion for youth sports and a commitment to fostering a positive experience for all participants.
