No Appointment Length July - June (12 mo) Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities FSU considers performing as our mascot an important responsibility. Although in a costume, as the 'face of the college' you will be highly recognizable. It is very important that you regard this duty with professionalism and with an approachable and fun demeanor at all times. FSU Home Athletic Events FSU Away games as deemed appropriate/necessary (tournaments etc.) Foundation / Alumni Events Student Activities Events on campus lasting no more than 1-2 hours Campus Visitation Days / Parent Weekend / Maroon/White Days Limited Community Engagements Other events deemed necessary by the Department or Office of the President Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at FSU . Must be a full-time student. Must have and maintain at cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Must be physically capable of supporting the costume and performing effectively. Must have the ability to perform strenuous athletic movements while in costume. While in costume the temperature may rise or fall quickly and it is your responsibility to take adequate breaks and stay hydrated. Must have no health or physical issues which would hamper your ability to perform as the Falcon or which might cause performing as the Falcon to be unsafe to your health. Must have personal medical insurance and complete a Medical Release and Code of Conduct Form. The Department of Intramurals, nor Fairmont State University has medical insurance coverage.
