0006 This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The Institute of Child Development, housed in the College of Education and Human Development, at the University of Minnesota, occasionally hires temporary staff to perform a wide variety of nonacademic and/or academic work responsibilities. The work schedule is temporary in nature, meaning the employee is limited to 67 days or work in a calendar year. Employees working in this position are paid an hourly rate; temporary employees are not eligible for retirement plans, health insurance, vacation, sick leave, or the Regents Scholarship. This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Support academic and/or research initiatives of the department (100%) Draft correspondence and send/respond to email communications Organize and track program related documents and files Use computer software programs, such as, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, University Box, Canvas, Adobe Acrobat Comply with university required policies and procedures and complete required trainings as necessary Meet as needed with manager and attend scheduled events and meetings in the Institute of Child Development Monitor goals and progress of the assigned academic program or research project Assist with problem solving, as needed The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), the University's third largest college, contributes to a just and sustainable future through engagement with the local and global communities to enhance human learning and development at all stages of life.
