SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONS
MDE Administrative license required. At least three year's successful experience as a secondary-level classroom teacher preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic. Ability to fulfill job responsibilities with a minimum supervision.

JOB GOALS
Management of Student Discipline Process and Student Attendance System.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the student discipline and behavior management system, in cooperation with Counselors. Manages student attendance system, in cooperation with Attendance Coordinator. Monitors and ensures staff compliance with student attendance taking procedures. Oversees In-School Suspension and Loss of Privilege study hall programs and communicates program needs and expectations with staff assigned these areas of supervision. Oversees supervision of lunchroom; directs staff assigned to lunch duty. Member of Student Assistance Team. Works with School Resource Officer in matters relating to student criminal conduct and other disciplinary issues (e.g., harassment, safety, etc.). Interprets school discipline and attendance policies and procedures and communicates them to students, parents/guardians, and the community. Communicates to parents/guardians regarding individual student disciplinary action as required by law or as necessary to further the goals of the student discipline and behavior management system. Works with guidance staff to seek alternative forms of education for students who are unable to function effectively within the regular school environment. Works with Chemical Health Coordinator, Student Support Specialist, and Activities Director as appropriate in matters relating to student use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. Attends after-school student events and activities as needed. Supervises Campus Supervisor, Attendance Coordinator, and secretarial staff working on student discipline and attendance matters. Serves as Building Principal in absence of Principal and Assistant Principal. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as directed by Principal or Assistant Principal.
