Work in the office includes counseling services, case management, and wellness programming support. Job Description Under the direction of the Director of Student Well-Being, the Training and Outreach Coordinator develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates comprehensive Student Well-Being programs and presentations. This position is responsible for providing on-site health and well-being trainings for the campus community on a weekly basis, often requiring evening and weekend work hours. Training and Outreach Coordinator position requires the following: Work evenings and weekends Work independently with little supervision Work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor Balance multiple projects and unstructured tasks within deadlines Maintain regular and consistent attendance Provide health and well-being presentations and trainings to Missouri S&T community Serve as the primary coordinator of all presentation and outreach requests. This involves handling all logistical details such as location reservations, arranging presenters, updating materials, etc. Provide training and leadership development to peer educators Coordinate weekly peer educator meetings, retreats, and other professional development opportunities Supervise 2-3 peer wellness educators and oversee their contributions to the Student Well-Being department and the campus community Co-chair the STEP UP! bystander intervention subcommittee Provide general well-being, self regulation, and other consultations to students Collect data, produce reports, and evaluate programming Work as a team with Student Well-Being colleagues to provide cross-coverage and support wherever needed. Collaborate with campus partners on shared programs and initiatives Serve as a health/wellness resource to the campus community and serve on campus committees Maintain collaborative relationships with campus departments Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Public or Community Health, Health Education and Promotion, Student Affairs, Social or Behavioral Science, Higher Education, Human Services, Communications, or related field Background in community outreach with demonstrated competency in health education theories Demonstrated ability to work with students and organizations and to guide their developmental processes Experience leading a group, team, or committee Experience developing strategic goals, measurable outcomes, and program evaluation for health promotion programs Knowledge of current and emerging well-being and higher education issues Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $21.71-$24.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
