Position Overview:

The Assistant (or Associate) Dean provides strategic, operational, and academic support to the Dean while working closely with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. The position plays a key role in advancing enrollment, strengthening industry engagement, supporting accreditation and assessment efforts, and promoting the College's programs through effective communication and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Dean in the administration and strategic leadership of the College of Business and Professional Studies Teach 1-2 Business classes as needed Collaborate with faculty and department chairs on curriculum development, assessment, and AACSB accreditation initiatives Lead or support marketing, recruitment, and outreach efforts to promote College programs and increase enrollment Foster relationships with industry partners, alumni, and community stakeholders to enhance experiential learning opportunities and represent the College externally Assist with faculty support, student advising initiatives, and academic scheduling Analyze data related to enrollment, retention, and student success to inform decision-making

Required Qualifications Doctorate in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field Professional or academic experience in business and/or marketing Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills Experience with marketing, recruitment, branding, or external engagement Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, student-focused environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education administration and program growth Knowledge of accreditation and assessment processes Experience working with industry partnerships or applied learning initiatives Strong understanding of the regional workforce and economic development needs

Physical Demands Light Work:

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
