Posting Details Position Information Position Title Center for Student Involvement Coordinator Job Description The Center for Student Involvement Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination implementation, and assessment of student engagement opportunities designed to enhance student involvement, leadership development, belonging, and campus connection. This position serves as a key contributor to the Center for Student Involvement by independently managing assigned programs, initiatives, and operational processes that support a vibrant and student-centered campus experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Coordinate and implement campus programs, engagement initiatives, and co-curricular experiences that support student development and campus involvement. Serve as a primary resource for registered student organizations by providing advising, training, guidance, and administrative support. Manage event logistics and operational planning, including scheduling, space reservations, marketing, risk management procedures, and assessment efforts. Oversee student organization processes including registration, renewal, record maintenance, compliance tracking, and policy education. Assist with the planning and execution of major campus traditions and signature events including welcome programming., homecoming activities, family events, and campus celebrations. Manage and maintain student engagement platforms, databases, and related systems to ensure accurate reporting and effective communication. Collect, analyze, and report assessment data related to programs, student participation, and engegement outcomes. Assist with budget tracking, purchasing processes, and resource management for assigned initiatives and programs. Serve on departmental, divisional, or institutional committees as assigned. Provide general operational support for the Center for Student Involvement and Student Affairs initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEGE, SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Knowledge of student engagement practices, event planning, and student development principles. Strong organizational, project management and multitasking skills. Ability independently coordinate programs and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish collaborative relationship with student, faculty, staff, and campus partners. Ability to advise and support diverse student populations and student leaders. Experience with marketing, social media engagement, and promotional strategies preferred. Ability to collect and interpret assessment data to support continuous improvement efforts. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support on campus events and initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree One to two years of experience in student programming, student engagement, student organizations, higher education, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in higher education or student affairs. Experience advising student organizations, planning campus events, or coordinating student engagement initiatives. Experience with student engagement platforms and event management systems. Experience supervising or mentoring student staff and student leaders. Physical Demands FLSA Exempt Additional Demands The position requires occasional evening and weekend responsibilities associated with student programs, leadership initiatives, and campus events. The Coordinator is expected to maintain a visible campus presence, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and support the mission and goals of Student Affairs through student-centered engagement practices.
