Employee Sign Print Date Manager Sign Print Date Position Summary The Adult Services Director is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations for the Adult Day services Program. This includes the ADA habilitation program, Community Networking program and all licensed and un licensed AFL's programs. The Director is to ensure program compliance and positive outcomes for all adult services Consumers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provides supervision of all ADA Operations. Serves as point person for all incoming referrals. Serves as an active, cooperative and permanent member of the consumer intake committee. Maintains record keeping according to IWC policies and procedures and in accordance with CARF standards, CCP8p, APSM 45-2, APSM 30-1 and all other funding agency requirements. Promotes and maintains communications with ancillary referring agencies regarding consumer progress. Provides training for all ADA staff through paycom and monitors for compliance. Keeps abreast of current rehabilitation/habilitation trends by participating in in-services, professional conferences, course work, etc.; when appropriate. Provides input into the annual budget development. Initiates updates of related program handbooks annually. Must be able to work flexible schedule. Supervises the services that clients receive. Strictly maintains employee/client confidentiality. Participates in meetings as needed, including client team meetings. Is responsible for relicensing of ADA program and oversees AFL licensing. Actively coordinates and communicates client individualized program plans, goals, objectives, restrictions, needs and other pertinent client information with other relevant IWC staff and outside agencies. Coordinates and communicates with residential programs and ancillary service providers as needed. Collects and distributes data as appropriate regarding client program plans. Supervises the preparation of monthly documentation and billing for all Adult Services Programs. Ensure that all approved policies and procedures are implemented. Provide fiscal supervision to ensure the continued successful operation of the facility. Oversee a wide variety of individuals and services directly or indirectly, ensure continued compliance with all ICF/IID regulations, NC Division of MH/MR/SAS/ & Department of Aging standards, CARF, CCP, APSM, DHSR and all other statutes, regulations, or standards that are necessary for the continued operation of IWC. Interface extensively with the local community to ensure appropriate public relations. This would include such activities as public speaking, working with the partnering agencies, and being available as a resource for other local human service organizations. Participate as necessary in appropriate Developmental Disabilities advocacy and support groups on a national, state, and local level. Ensure that all physical plant operations, structures, and services are being maintained in a manner that ensures a healthy, attractive, normalized environment for all IWC consumers. Relate to families of all consumers in a positive, helpful and therapeutic manner. Formal and informal communication with and support of families is a significant facet of community-based services, and is thus an integral part of the administrator's role. Attend the weekly executive meeting and monthly leadership team meeting as well as other meetings assigned to your position. Do monthly supervisions of staff assigned to you. Evaluate the ADA Coordinator and ADA assistant. Do quarterly compliance review. Review all evaluations before they are implemented. Review all corrective actions before they are implemented Other duties as assigned. Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain valid Driver's License and good driving record. Education/Training/Licensing Criteria A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated

experience with the population served and QP qualified. Five years of supervisory experience. Necessary Special Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License. Special Skills/Abilities Ability to work effectively with individuals with special needs. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to accurately record data and document observations, events and medications. Other Qualifications or Requirements Mental Effort:
Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions. Have the ability to function independently.
Visual Effort:
Must be able to read all types of print including small print, and in different lighting environments.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy lifting up to 40 pounds independently.
Safety:
Behavior problems such as aggression of clients and/or lifting could cause bodily injury. Help promote a safe environment for all clients, staff, etc. by reporting unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor.
Working Conditions:
Well lighted and ventilated, even temperature, accessible parking. Employees work primarily indoors in residential facility with some exposure to conditions which are slightly disagreeable such as toileting and feeding.
