Full Time Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid will support financial aid operations in all aspects of the application, awarding, delivery, and reconciliation of federal, state, private and institutional financial aid. This position will process federal, state, and private financial aid applications in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Director of Financial Aid. This position will manage the NCAA athletic aid awarding with support from other Financial Aid staff, guide the undergraduate financial aid counseling staff, be the primary content manager of the financial aid webpage, and manage all communication outreach to current and prospective students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise, counsel, and educate students, prospective students, and their family members in respects to their financial aid eligibility.
Understanding of Admissions and Bursar Office processes to effectively communicate to prospective and admitted students.
Oversee the planning and event setup involving Financial Aid to include, but not limited to, Orientation, Visitation, and Accepted Student Days.
Review and update C-flags such as but not limited to: Veteran Status, NSLDS SSN without a match, and federal aid overpayment.
Coordinate with the Director of Financial Aid to ensure staffing and resources are available for events and distribution to visitors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules, regulations, and requirements.
Coordinate with Athletics for upload/sharing of relevant Financial Aid data into their systems such as ARMS CRM and Compliance Assistant.
Work with Director of FA to ensure compliance with NCAA Bylaw 15.
Manage budgets to ensure athletic teams are not exceeding the team scholarship budget.
Manage the athletics financial aid webpage to keep it up to date.
Primary point of contact for NCAA audits.
Hold events on campus to work with student athletes to assist them with completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Lead coordination efforts to proactively engage with current and prospective students in person or via email, text, and social media.
Train colleagues in various duties.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX and Information Security, including but not limited to FERPA and other state and federal guidelines.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Two years in higher education desired
At least one year of direct experience in Financial Aid
Current working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague preferred
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and standard methods of digital communication, such as web/text/chat platforms
Ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology
Proficiency utilizing/administering social media platforms
Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, parents, university officials and the public
Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
Exercise good judgment in complex and new situations
Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines

Availability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
