Work Location Fully On-site (dedicated office at Duty Station) Function Compliance Management Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function. Ensure the quality, accuracy, and veracity of ERP and institutional data, including data integrated with the core ERP (Banner) system. Establish and maintain efficient procedures and controls for accurate and consistent data collection within the ERP. Provide leadership for data governance, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive data dictionary, data standards, and established protocols. Collaborate with Information Technology Services (ITS) to establish consistent standards for operational reporting and data presentation. Partner with ITS and campus stakeholders to ensure appropriate data security, access controls, and protection measures are established and maintained. Establish clear distinctions and requirements for transactional, operational, and institutional reporting, ensuring campus stakeholders understand the appropriate use and purpose of each. Empower Institutional Research staff through the use of advanced data analysis skills, tools, and technology to strengthen institutional capacity for data-informed decision-making. Identify and leverage emerging opportunities in enrollment management, academic program management, and resource allocation through effective analysis and use of institutional data. Function Leadership and Collaboration Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function. Lead and manage a comprehensive institutional research program that supports the University's mission and strategic goals. Develop and implement a clear vision for the function that is responsive to the broad institutional need for information and useful to a wide range of internal and external customers. Engage with NCCU leaders to determine their data, reporting, and analysis needs. Ensure that the office is delivering the kind of data and analysis required by all constituencies. Prepare, publish, and present reports to campus management in support of institutional planning, campus policy-making, and strategic decision-making. Function Coordination of Work Flow Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function. Charge the department with developing novel studies and reports that support creative decision-making. Produce studies with real institutional impact. Oversee the creation of yearly standard Institutional Research reports, such as the annual statistical portraits, as well as ad hoc reports, as requested. Oversee responses on behalf of the campus to local, state, and national statistical surveys, questionnaires, and non-routine requests for data and information. Ensure the delivery of the quantitative and qualitative research and analysis of data relevant to institutional policy, programmatic, and planning needs, both in the long-term and short-term. Function Institutional Alignment and Collaboration Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function. Oversee monitoring of NCCU and UNC System metrics and notify campus leadership if it appears that the campus may be under- or over-performing for a particular term.
