Essential Functions OPEN TO UNO EMPLOYEES ONLY
The Associate Dean of Social Sciences, Humanities and Academic Affairs assists the Dean of the college with general administration, curriculum and instruction, accreditation efforts, evaluation and assessment, faculty matters, collegeanization, student matters, fiscal matters, and interacting with other colleges and offices within the university. The Associate Dean has leadership and administrative responsibility for promoting and growing academic programs and initiatives in the college, helping to support faculty development in the college, and serving as a liaison with other UNO colleges. The Associate Dean may represent the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences upon request. The Office is charged with overseeing and supporting the academic and research activities of the 13 academic departments and 30+ interdisciplinary programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
This position represents UNO as a member of the College of Arts and Sciences but may also serve as a representative for any individual unit or department within the college. Other duties may be assigned. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8-5 possible weekend at times
Additional Duties Required Qualifications Earned doctorate or terminal degree, a record of high-quality performance as an educator, and ability in administration at college or university level. Salary $120,000 plus $15,000 stipend
