Preferred:
Valid New Hampshire Department of Education Teaching Certification in Special Education (General Special Education or specific categorical certifications), Bachelor's or Master's degree from an approved educator preparation program, Satisfactory completion of New Hampshire state-required criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance, Previous experience in a school setting preferred, Deep familiarity with New Hampshire special education regulations, New Hampshire Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities, and IDEA compliance

Responsibilities:
Provide specialized, direct instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs in individual, small-group, or resource classroom environments. Act as the primary Case Manager for an assigned student caseload, tracking baseline data, coordinating assessments, and monitoring academic, social, and behavioral progress throughout the school year. Lead the development, writing, review, and implementation of measurable goals, accommodations, and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with New Hampshire state standards. Coordinate, facilitate, and chair IEP meetings with parents, school administrators, general education teachers, and multidisciplinary support teams. Modify and adapt general education curriculum materials to ensure compliance with student accommodations and accessibility. Implement positive behavior intervention strategies and classroom management techniques tailored to specific student needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, school psychologists, and families to foster an inclusive, supportive, and legally compliant learning environment.
