The Administrative Assistant coordinates and assists with Admissions activities by working with external agencies to facilitate the Admissions process to Bonnie Brae. Responsibilities include maintaining various databases, answering calls for the Admissions Department and providing information as needed in regards to the admissions process and criteria. Log and review referrals for initial criteria, create and send out various correspondences, set up preplacement interviews, which includes creating documents and admit paperwork requirements that are sent to the referral agency, as well as making sure the youth has active status in the provider queue. The Admissions Assistant will also conduct pre-placement interviews in Spanish when necessary. Other responsibilities include maintain records on daily census and assisting with Medicaid verification as needed.
Candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities /Experience:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Access 2000 and Outlook required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude in person and on the phone.
