Job Description

Warren County Community College is seeking an experienced, student-focused professional to serve as the Director of Financial Aid. This full-time, in-person leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements. The Director serves as the College's primary resource on financial aid policies, procedures, and regulatory changes and plays a key role in supporting student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Director of Financial Aid provides leadership for the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office, including financial aid packaging, fiscal oversight, compliance monitoring, reporting, outreach activities, and supervision of staff and student workers. The Director works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external agencies to ensure accurate administration of financial aid programs and exceptional student service. Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred. Candidates should have five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in higher education financial aid administration, including comprehensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and compliance requirements. Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Experience with financial aid systems such as EDConnect, and PowerFAIDS is preferred. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a student-centered environment while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
