Required Qualifications During my tenure in this appointed position, I agree to adhere to the following guidelines: Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno Maintain a 2.00 GPA and be enrolled in at least 7 credits Perform all duties and instructions outlined by the ASUN Governing Documents Uphold the Nevada Student Code of Conduct Meet all deadlines set forth, attend all required meetings and training, work scheduled hours, properly complete and submit HR paperwork on time, assist in the promotion of the mission of ASUN and Nevada, behave in a manner that is ethical, maintain a high level of integrity Other duties as called upon by my position I understand if I do not adhere to the items outlined in this agreement or what is stated in the ASUN Governing Documents, my position may be subject to disciplinary action by the ASUN Judicial Council and/or the University of Nevada. Preferred Qualifications Assistant Director of Budget and Student Event Advisory Board (SEAB) Prior experience in ASUN as an officer or intern Previous management, mentorship, or leadership experience with peers Demonstrated track record of excellence in student outreach with clubs and organizations Experience with budget management and financial planning through course of study, previous work experience, or extracurriculars Solid understanding of the funding processes available to student clubs and organizations, including funding requests, fundraising opportunities, and event planning guidelines Strong organizational and management skills to manage coordination of funding requests within the department Service-oriented approach to supporting the needs of club leaders and members through responsiveness to inquiries, willingness to provide assistance, and a proactive approach to addressing concerns or issues Motivation to further the goals and initiatives under the Impact Nevada platform, through: Enhancing communication between clubs and club commissioners by providing transparent communication methods to offer necessary support and resources Promoting awareness of funding sources and initiatives available to registered clubs and organizations Holding club commissioners accountable to proactively reach out to clubs and organizations within their coalition and set aside hours to consistently meet with club leaders Expanding knowledge of club processes through diverse formats, such as social media and additional online spaces Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in providing support services to clubs and organizations Flexibility and adaptability within role; ability to time manage and prioritize tasks Willingness to mentor an intern during the fall and spring semesters Assistant Director of Club Renewal and Interns Prior experience in ASUN as an officer or intern Previous management, mentorship, or leadership experience with peers Demonstrated track record of excellence in student outreach with clubs and organizations Strong organizational and management skills to manage and track processing of club registration and records within the department Service-oriented approach to supporting the needs of club leaders and members through responsiveness to inquiries, willingness to provide assistance, and a proactive approach to addressing concerns or issues Motivation to further the goals and initiatives under the Impact Nevada platform, through: Enhancing communication between clubs and club commissioners by providing transparent communication methods to offer necessary support and resources Holding club commissioners accountable to proactively reach out to clubs and organizations within their coalition and set aside hours to consistently meet with club leaders Expanding knowledge of club processes through diverse formats, such as social media and additional online spaces Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in providing support services to clubs and organizations Flexibility and adaptability within role; ability to time manage and prioritize tasks Strong planning skills to outline learning outcomes and educational material within the ASUN Clubs and Organizations Internship Program and create systems that drive intern retention and professional development Compensation Grade Student Employee Level 2 $5,000 distributed evenly over a 12-month period Exempt No Full-Time Equivalent 0.0% Required Attachment(s) Please note, once you submit your application the only attachment/s viewable to you will be the attachment/s to the resume/CV section of the application.
