This position is responsible for managing, planning and organizing the resident's admission process within the rules, standards and laws of the Federal, State and County governments, as well as within the guidelines of the community. This position exercises discretion and independent judgment when interacting with referral resources and making a decision related to the admission of residents. This position regularly applies sales and marketing principles when interacting with healthcare professionals including, but not limited to members of hospitals, home health agencies, case managers, surrounding nursing homes and physicians in private practice for purposes of generating referrals. Responsibilities Exhibits attitudes and behaviors that show a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations at all times. Demonstrates commitment to the core values of hospitality, stewardship, integrity, respect, and humor. Utilize the mission, vision, and values to determine priorities. Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and co-workers on a daily basis. Maintains professionalism and composure when interacting with management, employees, residents and families. Effectively presents and communicates information and responds to questions from coworkers, residents, families, state auditors and the general public as deemed appropriate for the position. Performs all functions and work related to the admission of residents to the facility, including admissions paperwork, pre-admission assessments, referral source development in adherence to all HDG systems Responsible for building, tracking and reporting on volume of referrals, admissions and census as it relates to meeting or exceeding budgeted census and premium mix goals. Responsible for managing the marketing activities for an assigned coverage area on a daily basis to include meeting with medical, insurance, legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, special interest groups, hospital staff, other community contacts, and potential residents and their families. Leadership Core Roles Regularly attends and provides input at leadership and all staff meetings. Holds staff accountable to the mission, vision, and values, Code of Conduct, Caring Above and Beyond program, safety initiatives and position specific roles and responsibilities Delegates responsibilities effectively and provides clear written and oral direction to others. Promotes open communication and provides direct, timely, and motivating feedback both formally and informally. Requirements Completion of an Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in sales, marketing, business administration, social services or related area. Three (3) years of experience in health care setting working within a sales and marketing role preferred, but not required.
