Full Job Description Summary:
The Leader of Student Engagement will be responsible for the coordination and execution of discipline and enrichment duties for grades K-8. In conjunction with the school's leadership team, the Leader of Student Engagement will play an essential role in creating a school climate that is conducive for academic achievement and personal growth for each student.Duties and Responsibilities:
Holds high behavioral expectations for all students and facilitates this culture among the staff. Management and coordination of office referral procedures for noncompliant and disruptive students, supporting classroom teachers through investigations, documentation, parent communication, staff notifications, and supervision of instruction during suspension. Responsible for record keeping, including detentions and parent contact. DASA Coordinator Oversees bus discipline Work with the Director of MTSS in creating behavior contracts for students as needed and supports the implementation of Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior interventions. Works with all staff supporting the different tiers of behavior. Planning and execution of enrichment and school culture building activities including supporting with fundraising for student events.Leader In Me Team:
Lighthouse Coordinator Implements and oversees student discipline in alignment with school policies and state regulations; processes referrals and collaborates with students, families, staff, community agencies, and law enforcement as needed; addresses and resolves concerns and complaints from parents, students, and staff. Works with other administrators to ensure appropriate supervision of all students. Ensures students are receiving instruction during suspension. Works with the Principal, Director of MTSS and Restorative Behavior Specialist to establish a safe and secure learning environment for students. Responsible for preparing a variety of district, county, state, and federal records and reports. Other duties as required.Qualifications:
Master's Degree in an Education-related field Five Years experience working with urban Student Populations Certification in Special Education or K-6 Instruction Exquisite organizational skills and attention to logistical detail Excellent record keeping skills Excellent communication skills Background in restorative justice practices preferredJob Attachment Salary:
