Job Description
About us New Choices Recovery Center through its caring responsive staff, provides innovative and comprehensive addiction treatment services that enhance the quality of life for the individuals and the community we serve. The Residential Women's House Director is responsible for the safety and maintenance of the therapeutic environment of the Reintegration residence. The Director provides regular supervision to the House Manager and Residential staff. It is the responsibility of the Director to ensure all documentation complies with agency policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. The Director prepares for regulatory and recertification reviews, is responsible for all logistical and financial operations in collaboration with the Director of Residential Services. The Director maintains the residential census, completes screenings, and forwards admission recommendations and pending discharges to the Director of Residential Services.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in relevant field and/or Advance or Master CASAC with residential experience.Experience:
The Clinical Director will have at least five years of work experience in the SUD or MH field and completion of Clinical Supervision training. Valid NYS driver's license and approval by agency insurance to drive is required.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1)Supervision:
Supervises the House Manager and all Reintegration Staff within the framework of Agency policies and procedures. Communicates performance expectations with staff, appraises performance through observation and both individual and group supervision and annual evaluations. In collaboration with the Director of Residential Services, ensures policies and procedures are implemented routinely. Helps staff implement key concepts including Trauma Informed Care and Person-Centered Care. Participates in the hiring and disciplining of residential staff assigned to their facility. 2)Client Treatment Planning:
Provides and supervises assessment, treatment, and care of residents. Ensures that individualized treatment plans are implemented with each resident. Attends and participates in case conference and collaborates with outside providers where needed. Along with the House Manager reviews client charts for compliance and quality of services provided. Ensure implementation of Client Satisfaction surveys that are used to inform program services and procedures. 3)Coordination of Resources:
Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources that can provide services and supports to residential clients. Outreach to relevant programs to bring in expertise and resources that can benefit clients and help them accomplish their treatment goals. Work collaboratively with referents. 4)Professional Development:
Ensure their continued professional development and maintenance of credentials via requesting materials and attending training. Share learning and information with the staff at their residence through email and staff meetings. Participate in and when appropriate provide professional development information and training to all agency staff. 5)Residential Resource:
Assist the Director of Residential Services in the development of policies and procedures, participate in the call rotation schedule, make suggests for program improvement, participate in team supervision with the other Reintegration Clinical Directors.Note:
