Preceptor

Student Engagement Monitors students in patient care settings. Provides hands-on real time instruction and feedback to students. Rates student performance based on established guidelines. Engages students in a participatory instructional style as part of their experiential learning experience. Provides guidance and enforces the departments mission, policies and procedures with regards to their assigned areas. Acts as a role model and resource to students in their assigned areas. Performs minor repairs and cleans equipment to maintain good working order and collaborates with Facilities for repairs, as needed. Maintains biohazardous materials in accordance with policy to ensure safety. Organizes and labels supply storage, ensuring availability of supplies for students and faculty. Monitors and maintains records of supplies used and needed. Ensures practices are in accordance with requirements for pharmacy license approval. Clerical & Administrative Completes student evaluation as outlines by department chairperson. Attends all required meetings to provide feedback on student learning outcome goals. Attends all required trainings and workshops. Communicates frequently with the faculty and department chair on the needs of students as they fulfill their learning requirements. Maintains confidentiality of student records, information, and sensitive conversations encountered. Culture of Respect Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains current healthcare provider CPR Certification. Participates in courses, faculty, and staff meetings as needed. •Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.
