Regular Student Labor - Sports Medicine University of Central Oklahoma - 4.4 Edmond, OK Job Details Part-time | Full-time $7.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License First aid and CPR Full Job Description Position Overview This is a regular student labor position in which the selected candidate will assist the Certified Athletic Trainers with the coordination of the Sports Medicine program. This position requires heavy, physical and/or manual labor. Hours per Week 5-25 hours per week. Working nights, weekends, and holidays is a possible function of this position. College/Department Overview The Athletics Department at the University of Central Oklahoma currently supports over 400 student athletes in 15 NCAA Division II sports including Football, Men's & Women's Basketball, Men's & Women's Golf, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Women's Track & Field (Indoor & Outdoor) and Cross Country, Women's Tennis, Women's Soccer, Women's Rowing and Women's Volleyball. Department Specific Job Functions The selected candidate(s) will assist the Certified Athletic Trainers with pre-practice/pre-game/and post-game preparation. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Setup sports medicine needs before practices and competitions. Cleaning and maintenance of sports medicine equipment, supplies, and modalities after practice and competitions. Attend athletic practices and competitions as assigned. Application of basic first aid and CPR training. Application of preventive and protective taping/wrapping procedures within limitations of knowledge and training. Application of cryotherapy and modalities within the limitations of knowledge and training. Other duties as directed and supervised by OCU Athletic Training staff.
