Details:

Part-time, 25 hours per week Monday through Friday, 1pm-6pm

JOB SUMMARY

The duties of the Rehab Clerk will require a person able to multi-task and have a broad general knowledge of many aspects of the scheduling and registration of patients.

This position will include:

Answering of calls, handling calls with high quality customer service at all times, or transferring, paging, or referring to appropriate staff. Identifying patients needing scheduled via fax, telephone, and chart or in person to schedule both new and existing patients in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Patient Schedules' will accommodate the needs of the patient, therapists, and physicians in the best manner possible. Follow up on new patients with pre-registration, pre-certification, and registration processes, as well as co-pay collections as identified.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or GED equivalent. Preferred experience with medical terminology or anatomy. Good communications and people skills including phone, stressful situations, good English, and written and oral skills. Team player. Certified in CPR within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Able to work in latex-burdened environment.
