Department Summary The University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will provide an outstanding collegiate experience to our student-athletes while enabling them to pursue excellence in the classroom, the community, and their lives while competing at the highest level in their chosen sport. Position Summary The primary responsibility of the Director of Track & Field Internal Operations is the management and oversight of the internal day-to-day operations and keeping the Head Coach apprised of significant events for the University of Oregon men's and women's track and field programs. Specific responsibilities include team travel logistics, recruit travel logistics, practice scheduling (within NCAA guidelines), oversight of Time Management Plan, CARA reporting and liaison with Jaqua Center. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree 1 year of experience working within a Division I Track and Field program. Professional Competencies Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Solid administrative skills and the ability to motivate staff and volunteers to achieve administrative goals. Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations. Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to work hard in an intensely goal-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working as director of operations at a Division I, Power 5 athletic department. Capacity to interact comfortably with those individuals and constituency groups (student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents, etc) crucial to the advancement of the University of Oregon Department Of Athletics. Experience serving the needs of diverse populations, strongly desired.FLSA Exempt:
