Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required Minimum of 3 years of prior adult education and/or program management experience Teaching experience with young adult or adult population preferred Creative problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Public speaking experience preferred Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Resourceful, creative, and flexible Committed to working with a diverse student population
Job Responsibilities:
Adult Basic Education/GED Program Manager (60%) Oversees ABE/GED program and instructors Conducts intakes, orientations and exits with students Administers assessment tests for proper classroom placement (CASAS) Establishes student goals and provides case management/student support Observes classes and conducts regular meetings with instructors Manages enrollment/attendance data to meet contract numbers Provides monthly program updates/reports Substitute teach as needed Nurse Aide Program Manager (30%) Conducts assessments, interviews, intakes, and orientations of students Advises students and provides case management and student support services Oversees Nurse Aide instructor and provides guidance as needed Provides classroom instruction as needed Prepares and delivers presentations and information sessions Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date records Administrative & Professional Development (10%) Attends staff meetings & program improvement team meetings Participates in professional development training as required Assists with front desk/phone coverage and other office duties as assigned This position is 25-30 hours per week.
