Hopewell School 602 Garfield St Oxford, PA 19363 Other $993.50 - $1,049.00 per unit Hopewell School Posted 5/28/2026 Summary The Student Council Advisor plays a vital role in fostering student leadership and engagement at Hopewell School. This position is responsible for guiding and supporting the Student Council in their initiatives, ensuring that students have a voice in school decisions, and promoting a positive school culture. The advisor will work closely with students, faculty, and administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Responsibilities Provide guidance and mentorship to Student Council members in their roles and responsibilities. Assist in the planning and execution of Student Council meetings, events, and activities. Collaborate with students to develop leadership skills through workshops and training sessions. Serve as a liaison between the Student Council and school administration, advocating for student interests. Support the Student Council in developing and implementing community service projects and school improvement initiatives. Encourage student participation in school events and promote a spirit of teamwork and school pride. Monitor the progress of Student Council projects and provide constructive feedback. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages diverse student perspectives and ideas. Attend regular meetings with school administration to discuss Student Council activities and initiatives. Maintain records of Student Council activities and provide necessary reports to school administration. Requirements Previous experience working with students in a leadership or advisory capacity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and parents. Demonstrated commitment to fostering student engagement and leadership development. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff. Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A positive attitude and a passion for promoting a supportive school environment. Availability to attend after-school meetings and events as needed. Knowledge of student governance and school policies is a plus.
