POSITION GOAL
The Concession Manager coordinates and maintains efficient and effective operations of the various district concessions for the athletic department throughout the school year. Provides concessions management for sporting and special events
Work Hours:
Variable, Monday-Saturday, including special events on weekends, and evenings; during high school sports seasons.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent A minimum of 2 years working in food service or in similar positions Strong customer service skills Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with adults and students in a diverse work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works directly with the Athletic Director or his/her designee to decide what events require concessions. Be at all home games to run concessions Coordinate product and staff between stands if multiple are in use on any given day or at any given event. Oversee the daily operations of the in-season concession stands, including opening and closing procedures. Manage inventory levels, including placing orders for supplies and food items, to maintain stock and prevent shortages or excess. Handles all concession deliveries and restocking and coordinates with necessary district staff. Set pricing for concession items in line with market rates and operational costs to ensure profitability. Coordinates with athletic manager or director to plan concession needs for various events, and adjusting menu offerings if necessary. Works with various athletic team coaches and athletes who will be working in the concession stands. Team assignment comes from the athletic department. Oversees the cash box in the concession stands, and is responsible for picking it up prior to the event and turning it back in post. Inventories all products prior to opening the stand and then again upon closing to determine total sales for the event.
