POSITION GOAL
Responsible for game management duties of middle school events. To provide site supervision during middle school athletic competitions. Create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining safe conditions during the event in accordance with RSD policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum age of 18 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferable experience working in a supervision role in athletics, recreation, education, or related fields. Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with adults and students in a diverse work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise game workers during an event Manage crowd control. Be a gracious host to visitors, game officials, spectators, and media members Monitoring athletes, spectators, and game workers, to prevent accidents and injuries. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including communication skills with students, parents and facility staff. Ensures that all possible safety measures are observed, including taking proper care of equipment and proper surveillance of program participants. Attend all training sessions and any additional staff meetings. Work flexible hours including afternoon/evenings. Substitutes for other middle school game managers when needed. Demonstrates the ability to safely manage an event from start to finish independently. Communicate with safe schools, custodial services and or RPD as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically perform all skills required of a game manager. Hear noises and distress signals in a crowded athletic facility. Able to withstand extreme weather conditions Able to lift at least 20 pounds.
