Thorough response to critical inquiries or needs from families, students, staff, faculty, alumni, and other campus constituents is an expectation along with knowledge of legal issues pertinent to housing and residence life. Directs student programming and learning outcomes in the area of student support and intervention designed to improve student development while achieving institutional objectives. Develops, implements and analyzes assessment initiatives that foster student success and well-being. Provides educational programming and outreach for the University community including during new student orientation as well as residence life trainings. Prepares/oversees the preparation of departmental publications, statistical and periodic reports. Represents the Office of the Dean of Students on University-wide and Divisional committees as well as University and external agencies as appropriate (e.g. SafeUT). Supervises the Associate Directors for Campus Support & Intervention and provides additional support and supervision for the entire Campus Support & Intervention team including: Case Managers and Resident Outreach Coordinators Represents the Office of the Dean of Students in emergency housing protocols with Sunnyside Apartments.DISCLAIMER

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for one years of related work experience) 8 years of progressively more responsible management experience Demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Department-Specific Qualifications Evidence of progressive leadership in student affairs Knowledge of and experience with federal, state, and local law and regulations pertaining to students such as the Clery Act, FERPA, and Title IX Strong Interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills Able to exercise sound decision-making and judgement Strong problem solving and oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and to contribute to a welcoming and respectful environment Computer literacy Preferences Master's degree in student affairs/higher education administration, law, or related field. Knowledge of and experience with nationally recognized best practices in student support administration, including strategic planning and assessment Demonstrated record of career progression in student support administration or case management Supervisory experience Knowledge of strategic planning and student learning outcomes Familiarity with Advocate, the student support and accountability software database or experience with other student case management databases.
