Job Description

The Director of Graduate Technology Programs is an on-campus leadership position responsible for the growth and management of a portfolio of graduate technology programs. This 12-month hybrid role combines academic and operational duties with an emphasis on curriculum development, program updates, teaching, residency delivery, and student achievement. The role includes promoting faculty development, mentoring students, and forming industry partnerships. The position reports directly to the Dean of the Management Division. Essential Duties Summary Collaborate with the Dean of Management on strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and the development and growth of a portfolio of undergraduate, graduate, and executive technology programs (AI, CYBER, DSA, HIM, etc.) Supervise program activities, promote communication among leadership, faculty, and students, and resolve operational issues. Work with internal stakeholders to standardize executive program operations, including course scheduling, faculty administration, and the student experience. Hire and support faculty, ensuring academic quality, innovation, and consistency across program courses. Support grant opportunities and research projects that expand institutional programming. Develop, teach, and update courses, including targeted delivery of executive residency content and experiences. Advise undergraduate and graduate students on academics, practical training, and career growth opportunities in technology fields. Support accreditation and program assessment efforts by utilizing data to promote ongoing improvement. Collaborate on the development of the undergraduate technology programs to align with the graduate technology programs, such as the 4+1 models. Establish and nurture partnerships with industry and alumni to improve undergraduate, graduate, and executive career and educational opportunities.
Required Qualifications Education:
Terminal degree in a technology field or a combined terminal degree along with a related master's technology degree.
Experience:
Demonstrated higher education leadership in roles such as Department Chair or Program Director. Proven experience supporting graduate-level program operations, including graduate-level course development, maintenance, and delivery. At least 3 years of successful experience teaching graduate and undergraduate level technology courses across hybrid, online, and in-person modalities.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate across disciplines with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to solve problems and execute plans quickly. Positive attitude with the ability to think outside the box. Preferred Qualifications Ongoing research and professional development interests. Established industry and employer networks. Grant writing skills and administration. Relevant industry experience and certifications. Knowledgeable in microcredential and certificate delivery.
