Executive Assistant to IANRE Director & Faculty Manager 532518 Fairbanks, Alaska, United States On Campus Staff Full-time Grade 79 UAF Institute of Agr Nat Res & Ext Add to favorites View favorites Join a dynamic, statewide leadership team supporting the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension (IANRE). This key role provides high-level coordination and executive support for a mission-driven institute serving 100+ faculty and staff across Alaska. Operating with significant autonomy, you will manage the Director's office administrative infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence across diverse research and extension programming. The Role As a trusted advisor to leadership, this position requires high discretion and professional judgment. You will lead the complex administration of the faculty lifecycle, including promotion, tenure, workload, and annual activity reviews. From agreement routing to managing statewide office workflows, this role is the operational engine of the institute. You will bridge the gap between IANRE leadership, HR, faculty affairs, and UA offices to ensure compliance with university policies and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). The Assistant to the Director serves as the critical operational anchor for the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension (IANRE) at the University of Alaska- Fairbanks (UAF).
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Bachelor's degree preferredPosition Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience. Application review will begin on May 29, 2026.
