About the Role Moore Community House is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director to lead our Early Head Start program. This role is responsible for the overall performance, compliance, and quality of services supporting pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and their families. The Program Director serves as a key member of agency leadership, ensuring the program operates in alignment with Head Start Program Performance Standards while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment. What You'll Do Provide leadership and oversight of all Early Head Start services, including education, family engagement, health, nutrition, and disabilities services Ensure program compliance with federal regulations, including Head Start Program Performance Standards and Uniform Guidance Lead and support a team of program leaders, including Center Directors and service area Directors Monitor program performance and use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement Oversee grant implementation, budget management, and fiscal compliance Collaborate with agency leadership (CEO, CFO, HR) to align program operations with organizational priorities Serve as liaison with the Office of Head Start and external partners Support development of non-federal share (match) and pursue additional funding opportunities What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field 3+ years of leadership experience in a Head Start or Early Head Start program Experience managing staff and ensuring compliance with federal program requirements Preferred Master's degree in a related field Experience as a Head Start/Early Head Start Program Director Experience with ChildPlus or similar data systems Key Skills Strong leadership and team management Ability to use data to drive decisions and improve outcomes Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment Work Environment Primarily on-site with regular travel between program locations Occasional evenings/weekends as needed Remote work flexibility on an as-needed basis with approval
Compensation & Benefits Starting Salary:
