Through hands-on learning experiences, students practice managing money, solving problems, exploring careers, and understanding how the choices they make today can shape what comes next. Junior Achievement associates work closely with community leaders, volunteers, and educators to ensure students from kindergarten through high school gain the knowledge and confidence to build a bright future. Position Summary Program Managers play a key role in coordinating and delivering JA learning experiences in local schools throughout Idaho. Each Program Manager oversees an assigned portfolio of schools and learning experiences. Program Manager for this position will oversee schools in Idaho. This position requires a high level of initiative in building relationships with educators, recruiting and supporting volunteers, coordinating learning experiences, and ensuring high-quality implementation. Work is completed in the field, spending time in local schools and businesses, as well as from a home office. Regular virtual meetings and collaboration with the JA team are also required. Key Responsibilities Work closely with school administrators, counselors, and faculty to promote JA learning experiences and coordinate participation within assigned schools. Recruit, train, schedule, and support parent, community, and business volunteers participating in JA learning experiences. Coordinate learning experience schedules, materials, volunteer placement, school communication, and follow-up to ensure high-quality implementation and sponsor commitments are completed. Build and maintain positive relationships with educators, volunteers, community partners, and business partners throughout Idaho. Prepare and maintain JA materials and supplies, including inventory, printing, ordering, and distribution as needed. Input and maintain accurate school, volunteer, and learning experience data in JA systems to track participation and program outcomes. Support JA's Regional Development Director with sponsor engagement and stewardship related to assigned schools and learning experiences. Collaborate in person with Idaho-based JA staff and participate in local school, community, and organizational events as needed. Participate virtually in bi-weekly Program Manager meetings and other regular team meetings, with camera-on participation expected. Contribute to individual, team, and organizational goals and priorities. Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting to groups. Excellent written communication skills are essential, as emailing will be a key part of the role. Candidates must be able to write clear, professional emails to educators, volunteers, and business partners. Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels. Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and time-management skills to strategically plan the school year and ensure smooth learning experience implementation. Demonstrate a willingness to engage with the community to develop and maintain relationships with local groups and business members. Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team while also managing responsibilities independently. Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Must have reliable high-speed internet and a home workspace that allows for effective participation in regular virtual meetings and completion of job responsibilities. Must be able to provide reliable transportation, as local travel is required. Work Schedule and Physical Requirements This position works an average of 20-25 hours per week; schedule will vary depending on job needs throughout the school year. Position follows the academic calendar, with lighter hours during the summer. Ability to be on your feet and actively engaged for extended periods (4+ hours). Occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
