Program Manager, Global Experiences Pitt Global Experience Office - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26005740) The University of Pittsburgh's Global Experiences Office (GEO) is seeking a Program Manager for Global Experiences The position is primarily responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of academic and experiential global programs. This position will support the development, budgeting, and contracting of new semester, summer, and short-term global programs and experiential learning opportunities abroad. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of existing programs and redevelopment where necessary. The program manager is expected to work across different University units, including the Global Experiences Office, University Center for International Studies, and Pittsburgh campus schools and regional campuses. The individual must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have experience working with diverse teams. Primary duties of the position include: Managing student recruitment, advising, and application processes Program budget development, creating and managing vendor contracts Implementing pre-departure preparation and learning activities, and on-program support for faculty and students. Job Summary Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of assigned small, routine projects and coordinates with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assists in timeline development, ensures adherence to timeframes, and adjusts project deliverables to avoid issues. Performs budgetary functions and administrative tasks. Assists with external consultant and vendor selection, negotiation, and management. Essential Functions Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of assigned small, routine projects. Coordinates with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assists in developing a timeline and ensures adherence to all deadlines. Anticipates potential problems and adjusts project deliverables as needed. Drafts and manages the program budget, ensures timely submission of vendor payment requests, and manages expense reimbursements. Tracks project progress and maintains accurate records and files; provides detailed reports to senior management. Assists with selection, negotiation, and management of activities regarding external consults or vendors. Conducts other administrative tasks, leads meetings, and drafts communications. Physical Effort Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
