Suncoast Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Educational Specialist for a distinctive role that integrates virtual and in-person specialized academic instruction sessions with students. As a SPED Education Specialist at our charter school, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our diverse student population. This is a unique hybrid role that combines virtual and in-person meetings covering various counties, which can include Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County. The Suncoast Preparatory Academy SPED Educational Specialist is an innovator who inspires and supports Home Study/ Homeschool families assigned to you by developing an engaging and highly individualized education plan (IEP). A SPED Education Specialist coordinates all aspects of the IEP as a case manager, collaborates with service providers, and engages in ongoing data collection to drive instruction, goals, and services. You should be a positive, caring individual with excellent organizational skills. You should have stellar verbal and written communication skills. You must be proactive, team-oriented, flexible, and sensitive to the needs of others in the program. SPED Educational Specialist's regular hours are Monday through Friday during school hours and on additional days and times as needed to participate in IEP meetings and career learning opportunities.
