General Manager / COO Position Summary The Director of Tennis, Pickleball, and Recreation is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic development of all racquet sports and related recreational facilities at The Reserve Club. This includes tennis, pickleball, and pool operations. The role ensures a premier member experience through exceptional programming, instruction, facility standards, and leadership aligned with CMAA, RSPA, and USPTA best practices. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Operations Provide day to day leadership of all tennis, pickleball, and pool operations Build and lead a high performance team culture centered on service, accountability, and professionalism Recruit, train, schedule, and manage racquet sports and seasonal pool staff Maintain strong visibility and engagement with members and staff Tennis and Pickleball Programming Oversee all programming across six Har Tru tennis courts and four pickleball courts Develop and execute clinics, leagues, tournaments, and social events for all demographics Provide or oversee private and group instruction in alignment with RSPA and USPTA standards Drive participation and growth across all skill levels Court Maintenance and Facility Management Maintain direct responsibility for the daily care and playability of all Har Tru tennis courts Establish and enforce court maintenance standards including grooming, watering, rolling, lining, and proper use of drag equipment Ensure courts are consistently safe, clean, and presented at a high standard of excellence Train and hold staff accountable for proper court maintenance procedures and routines Coordinate with Grounds and Maintenance teams to support long term court health and seasonal preparation Oversee upkeep and organization of all equipment including nets, scoreboards, brushes, and maintenance tools Ensure all racquet sports and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and consistently member ready Pool Operations Oversight Provide leadership oversight of pool facility operations and seasonal staff Ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall presentation meet club standards Coordinate with Aquatics and Food and Beverage teams to enhance the member experience Monitor compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures Member Experience Engage with members regularly to build relationships and elevate satisfaction Respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner Create an inviting and high energy environment across all facilities Financial Management Develop and manage budgets for racquet sports and pool operations Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities for program growth Control expenses while maintaining quality standards Communication and Collaboration Maintain strong communication with the General Manager and leadership team Collaborate with other departments to support overall club initiatives Provide regular updates on programming, participation, and operational performance Qualifications Certified Tennis Professional through RSPA or USPTA in good standing Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in racquet sports operations Demonstrated expertise in Har Tru court maintenance and facility standards Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills CPR and First Aid certification preferred Standards of Performance Deliver an exceptional member experience consistent with The Reserve Club standards Maintain immaculate courts and facilities at all times Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and operational excellence Align with CMAA, RSPA, and USPTA professional standards
