This position develops and coordinates all programming aspects of the Office of Alumni Engagement to advance the mission of CCU. The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement works to ensure alumni are informed, educated, and connected to CCU through a variety of programs, outreach, and engagement activities essential to the future success of the institution. Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with event planning and building and maintaining relationships. Duties include, but are not limited to: In consultation with the Executive Director, independently develops and plans meaningful and purposeful alumni engagement programs involving development officers, research, communications, and data management. Plans and manages all aspects of alumni events (Alumni TEALgates on and off campus, alumni networking events throughout the country, graduation events, golf tournaments, scholarship fundraisers with alumni board). Manages event budgets, planning logistics, vendor relations, and on-site execution. Creates and assists with programming for affinity groups, alumni chapters and students. In collaboration with the Executive Director and Advancement Communications Director, coordinates and leads alumni marketing communications for alumni programs and events. Coordinates and communicates regularly with campus partners to ensure alignment, shared awareness, and effective cross-departmental collaboration. Work in conjunction with the Advancement Communications Director to create a year-long calendar for all alumni-related emails, mailings, social media posts, and appeals. Manages and executes alumni social media channels, including the development of social media strategy and content, and the monitoring of performance to enhance engagement. Supervises and manages Alumni Engagement student workers, providing daily direction, task assignments, training, and ongoing performance feedback to ensure high-quality support for departmental priorities. Recruit, coordinate, and support student volunteers who assist with alumni programs and events, including communication of expectations, assignment of event-day responsibilities, and on-site guidance. Manages inventory of alumni supply closet ensuring proper use of supplies including tablecloths, giveaways, event-specific supplies, and signage. Communicates when a need arises and order supplies with the approval of the Executive Director. Oversees supplies and maintains a spreadsheet of inventory ensuring proper storage, records, and use of items. Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to alumni, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large. Assists the Executive Director in the management of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, including planning and execution of four quarterly meetings, year-round volunteer opportunities, board events, networking, and fundraising. Salary range:
$45,300.00 - $61,100.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Some nights and weekends. Some travel. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
