Primary duties involve promoting leadership development, guiding members through competitive STAR events, organizing community service projects, and managing chapter operations. Because roles within FCCLA vary drastically based on the position, responsibilities are generally divided into two main categories: 1. Chapter Adviser Responsibilities As a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), advisers integrate FCCLA activities into Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education:
Membership Recruitment:
Lead affiliation drives and manage yearly chapter enrollment.
Event Supervision:
Mentor and supervise students preparing for over 50 Competitive Events.
Financial Oversight:
Oversee chapter budgets, supervise fundraising activities, and ensure nonprofit/school compliance.
Meeting Facilitation:
Guide student officers in scheduling meetings and implementing national programs like Power of One
