Department DSU-Institutional Advancement Physical Location of Position (City) Madison Posting Text Dakota State University is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Alumni Relations Officer to join our team. This is an excellent role for a professional who is ready to make an impact by supporting alumni engagement and strengthening lifelong relationships between graduates and DSU.
Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and implement engaging alumni events and programs that connect former students with current campus life and fellow alumni. Create and maintain communication channels with alumni through social media, newsletters, and university publications. Collaborate with various campus departments to highlight alumni achievements and strengthen alumni engagement with university initiatives. Assist in identifying, recruiting, and managing alumni volunteers and ambassadors for events and university outreach. Represent the university at events and gatherings, serving as a confident and dynamic spokesperson.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Creativity and innovation in developing programs and outreach efforts. Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to groups of various sizes. . Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with alumni and other stakeholders. Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
