Department USD-Intercollegiate Athletics Physical Location of Position (City) Vermillion Posting Text The University of South Dakota Assistant Director of Athletic Marketing is responsible for all aspects of marketing and promoting USD Athletics, including developing and implementing aprehensive marketing plan that drives attendance, ticket sales, and revenue. Responsibilities Plans, creates and executes all promotion elements of athletic events, including but not limited to in-game promotions, script writing, event producing, supervising multi-media content for marketing purposes including video and graphics for use on athletic video boards, , social media, and/or television; creates and develops aprehensive marketing plan to maximize ticket revenue and spectator attendance;municate with Coyote Sports Properties (Learfield) to ensure execution and fulfillment of partner contracts; work with campus groups and student body to drive attendance and enhance game-day atmosp. Determines appropriate budget expenditures and allocations relative to the implementation of marketing plans as well as the fulfillment of sponsorship obligations, works with campus and student groups to promote events and involvements, supervises video production, ticket office, and game day staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of one year of successful game day production, marketing, sales, solicitation or related experience with intercollegiate athletics. Kledge and experience with photo editing software skills required. Candidates must have excellent oral and written skills. Candidate must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision, with an irregular work schedule including weekends and evenings if necessary. Working kledge of NCAA rules and interpretations in relation to the athletic marketing and sales area is preferred.
