Pay Basis Monthly Job Summary The Program Manager for Study Abroad supports the development, administration, and delivery of faculty-led study abroad programs. This role serves as a primary liaison among faculty, campus partners, and international vendors to ensure programs align with institutional policies, best practices, and academic standards, while supporting faculty, students, risk management, and program logistics throughout the program life cycle. This position will also oversee the UTA Passport Office. The annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 - $60,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Advise faculty on the development and management of faculty-led study abroad programs, including timelines, policies, best practices, program design, budgets, and enrollment goals. Coordinate proposal submission, review, and approval with academic units and campus partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty throughout planning and program delivery. Manage program setup and maintenance in the study abroad management system (ViaTRM). Review and process contracts, MOUs, and agreements with international partners and providers. Develop and manage program budgets, post program fees to student accounts, and coordinate vendor payments in compliance with university procedures. Support marketing efforts for faculty-led programs. Advise students on program options, application requirements, and enrollment processes. Coordinate application review, participant selection, enrollment confirmation, and pre-departure orientation materials. Serve as the primary supervisor for the UTA Passport Office, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision and training, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of State regulations while maintaining secure, efficient service delivery. Remain current in international education by participating in professional organizations, conferences, scholarship committees, and research on study abroad best practices, etc. Performs other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years of working experience in international education and/or overseas living, working, or study experience, or related experience in higher education. Experience developing and/or managing faculty-led study abroad programs. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Experience with study abroad-related software, such as Terra Dotta, via TRM, etc. Experience with Photoshop, Publisher, or other desktop publishing software. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective problem-solving skills and good decision quality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Customer focus which includes students, faculty, staff and external partners. Familiar with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-directed with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
