Immediately Job DescriptionPRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide leadership, coordination, and direct support for the implementation of proactive, instructional behavior supports for students receiving special education services. This position is responsible for supporting students with disabilities across a continuum of behavior supports ranging from universal expectations to individualized interventions, ensuring access to and success within general education behavioral expectations. Support is provided across the continuum of special education services, including general education with accommodations, in-class support, resource services, self-contained services, specialized campuses, out-of-district placements, and homebound services. This role is specific to students identified with disabilities receiving special education and related services, regardless of placement.QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited college or university Certification in Special Education Valid Texas administrative certification required Minimum of 4 years of successful experience in special education (teaching, coaching, or leadership) Experience supporting students with behavioral needs across multiple settings Demonstrated skills in coaching, modeling, and professional developmentKnowledge of:
Multi-level behavior supports designed to meet varying student needs Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPS) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) Instructional strategies for teaching pro-social and replacement behaviors Certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) or equivalent, or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe Demonstrated ability to train staff in de-escalation strategies and safe physical intervention techniques Strong collaboration and problem-solving skillsTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

$73,199 (IA 4) Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school yearESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Behavior Instruction & Systems Development Lead the implementation of proactive, instructional behavior supports aligned to campus and district expectations Support campuses in teaching and reinforcing expected student behaviors across all settings Ensure students with disabilities receive appropriate: Accommodation to access general education behavior expectations Explicit instruction and reteaching of expected behaviors Modified expectations and supplemental supports when needed Campus Support & Problem-Solving Provide direct support to campuses through coaching, modeling, and collaborative problem-solving Assist campus teams in developing and implementing effective behavior supports and intervention plans Support campuses in addressing complex or escalating student behavior concerns Supervision & Coordination of Behavior Coaches Supervise assigned behavior coaches Coordinate deployment of coaches to ensure consistent support across campuses Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to behavior coaches Service Delivery & Campus Support System Ensure all campuses receive both proactive support and responsive behavior assistance Implement and manage a centralized behavior support request system Assign requests to behavior coaches and monitor timely response and follow-up Balance proactive campus monitoring with responsive support services Proactive Monitoring & Support Establish systems for ongoing campus monitoring of behavior supports Ensure regular presence and support across assigned campuses Identify campuses needing additional support and deploy resources accordingly Training & Capacity Building Provide professional development on: Teaching and reinforcing expected behaviors Classroom management and proactive strategies Implementation of multi-level behavior supports Build capacity of campus staff to effectively support student behavior Crisis Prevention & Intervention Maintain current certification in crisis prevention and physical intervention (e.g., CPI or equivalent) Serve as a district trainer to provide staff development in de-escalation strategies and safe physical intervention techniques Support campuses in implementing proactive crisis prevention practices Provide guidance and support during or following behavioral crises as needed Collaboration Collaborate with campus administrators, special education staff, and district departments to support student success Other Duties Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed Support district initiatives related to student outcomes Perform other duties as assigned Equipment Used Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, phone system, projector, DVD, recording devicesWORKING CONDITIONS
