Job Description

Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students as an Educational Diagnostician in a vibrant, supportive school environment. This full-time position (40 hours per week) runs from August 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers the chance to make a substantial impact on student success. The role is itinerant, with campus assignments to be determined, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience across different settings.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification is required Several years of experience as an educational diagnostician within Texas public schools strongly preferred Demonstrated expertise with ARDs, student evaluations, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of current best practices in special education assessment and evaluation Comfortable working full-time, in-person throughout the school year Successful completion of district fingerprinting/background check prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for elementary students Participate actively in ARD meetings, with support from on-campus ARD Specialists Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and monitor effective education plans Document findings and provide clear, constructive reports that help guide student interventions Travel between assigned campuses as needed, adapting to the needs of different elementary school sites This contract position provides a chance to use your expertise to help students thrive in an educational setting that values teamwork and professional growth.
