The Education Coordinator supports the Education department with scheduling and facilitating school programs, summer camps, and educational events on the 4-acre historic farmstead. Key Responsibilities Administrative duties include scheduling school field trip reservations by phone/email, coordinating with finance on invoicing, and collect payments by phone or in-person Assist with all Education programming including set up, clean up, and teaching school field trips, Little Farmer Friday (preschool and parent days), Homeschool Days, Jr. Historians, Summer Camp, and other programs as needed Oversee and schedule Education volunteers for all programming. Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train and acknowledge the education volunteer team Oversees Guests to ensure safe and respectful behavior on grounds Instruct children in a clear and respectful manner Assist Education staff with monitoring and mentoring volunteer summer camp Counselors Assist with museum special events including Lights on the Farm (November-December), Friends of the Farmstead (October), and spring concert (May) Assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications High School graduate some college preferred Experienced at teaching in a formal or informal learning environment Detail oriented and able to work independently Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Abilities required Must be in good physical condition and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude Ability to work with a team
