- Posting may close at any time) Job Summary Faculty Affairs Coordinator Provide faculty affairs and workforce support to the Department of Radiology.

Responsibilities Coordinate faculty appointment, onboarding, reappointment, and advancement processes in accordance with university and departmental policies. Support Faculty Advancement, Retention, and Appointment ( FARA ) activities, including annual reappointment workflows, committee coordination, tracking actions, and preparation of supporting documentation. Serve as a liaison between the department, University of Utah Faculty Affairs, Central Human Resources, the Medical Staff Office, and other institutional offices. Coordinate onboarding and operational readiness activities for faculty, fellows, adjuncts, and visiting scholars. Facilitate credentialing and privileging coordination, including tracking licensure, certifications, training requirements, and institutional approvals. Coordinate faculty compensation and appointment actions in partnership with central university offices and department leadership. Provide guidance to faculty and leadership regarding faculty affairs procedures, university policies, and onboarding requirements. Assist with faculty committee processes, including scheduling, tracking actions, maintaining records, and ensuring policy compliance. Coordinate access and readiness activities involving Epic, PACS , institutional systems, training compliance, and related operational resources. Maintain departmental records, compliance documentation, and faculty affairs tracking systems. Support operational and compliance-related initiatives requiring independent judgment and cross-functional coordination. Research, interpret, and apply university and departmental policies related to faculty affairs and workforce operations. Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation related to faculty affairs activities and departmental operations. Identify and recommend process improvements to support efficient faculty onboarding, compliance, and operational workflows. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Minimum QualificationsEQUIVALENCY STATEMENT
: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example:
bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:Workforce Operations Generalist, II:
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.Workforce Operations Generalist, III :
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.Workforce Operations Generalist, IV:
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience. Preferences Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in faculty affairs, human resources, academic administration, healthcare administration, or related operational support environment. Knowledge of university processes, and academic institutional compliance requirements preferred. Experience coordinating complex administrative processes involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines. Ability to interpret and apply university, medical staff, and departmental policies and procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, leadership, administrators, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, problem solving, and decision-making in complex operational environments. Ability to work effectively in a high-trust environment requiring maturity, diplomacy, and sound judgment when handling sensitive faculty and personnel matters. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and institutional administrative systems, databases, or workflow tracking systems. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build effective professional relationships. Experience in an academic medical center or higher education environment preferred.
