Job Description

The Office of the Registrar seeking a Specialist who will be part of a team that serves as the primary points of contact in providing quality customer experiences for students, staff, faculty and all other customers seeking guidance for enrollment, registration, graduation, transcripts, transfer evaluation, and other general student affairs services. This role is responsible for a variety of duties in the Office of the Registrar and Academic Records, including but not limited to answering telephones, greeting guests, processing records, registration and other aspects of the front desk operation. This position serves as the initial contact for all guests and works closely with other areas within Student Affairs such as the Financial Aid Office, Admissions, Advising, Cashier's Office, Orientation & Student Success etc.

Knowledge of SLCC policy and procedures for registration, college catalog and schedule use and various student affairs departments. Effective customer service skills, knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel). Good phone etiquette, exceptional customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socio, economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities. High school diploma or equivalent .
