About the Role Join our team as a Part-Time Massage Therapy Educator & Program Director and help shape the next generation of massage professionals. In this dual role, you'll provide engaging classroom and hands-on instruction while overseeing the Massage Therapy program to ensure student success, instructional excellence, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Educator Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom and practical instruction in: Swedish and therapeutic massage Spa therapies (wraps, scrubs, hydrotherapy) Specialty massage (prenatal, geriatric, sports) Eastern techniques (Shiatsu, Thai) Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the program curriculum. Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and practical skill development. Provide timely, constructive feedback and academic support to students. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Maintain accurate student records and complete required documentation. Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and best practices. Program Director Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for the Massage Therapy program. Ensure the program remains compliant with accreditation standards, state regulations, and institutional policies. Monitor student retention, attendance, completion, licensure, and graduate outcomes, implementing improvement strategies as needed. Collaborate with the Director of Education to support student success. Assist with curriculum review and updates to ensure program relevance and MBLEx readiness. Mentor and support instructional staff within the Massage Therapy program. Participate in accreditation visits, audits, and program assessments. Review program data and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with student advising, orientation, and resolution of academic concerns. Represent the Massage Therapy program during campus events, open houses, and community outreach opportunities. Qualifications Current Massage Therapy license with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to mentor students and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff. Basic computer proficiency and experience using learning management systems (LMS). Teaching or training experience preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. NCBTMB certification is a plus. A strong belief in the power of education to change lives.
