General Statement of Duties The head coach demonstrates the capacity to manage every aspect of the sports program listed above, from coordinating high level practice sessions to providing exceptional leadership and a meaningful coaching experience for student athletes. They bring a proven ability to recruit and organize an effective assistant coaching staff if applicable and uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork for all students. Essential Duties Organizes and oversees all aspects of the program. Prepares student athletes physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through structured practices, instruction in fundamental skills, and thorough knowledge of rules. Reviews eligibility forms and submits required documentation to the Student Activities Director. Ensures all physical and academic requirements are met for each player and provides the necessary information to the Student Activities Director. Supervises the cleaning, storage, and proper maintenance of all equipment. Requests supplies, uniforms, and necessary equipment through the Student Activities Director. Promotes positive school-community relations by keeping families and the community informed about and engaged with the athletic program. Conducts preseason meetings with parents and guardians. Prepares daily practice plans and leads practice sessions. Adheres to county financial policies regarding the collection and receipt of funds. Regular attendance is required.

Additional Information Minimum Stipend Amount:

$1,346.63 Annual /Season Stipend amount will be prorated based on actual start date if the assignment has already begun. In the event the position is shared between two candidates, the stipend will be split. Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted by the school. Minimum Requirements Previous coaching experience, knowledge of the sport, and current understanding of coaching techniques and strategies. Strong leadership and organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes. Demonstrated ability to support management program through previous experience as a coach or player.
