The Position Assist in the positive promotion of Roanoke College Athletics. Direct sports information/promotion responsibility for multiple NCAA Division III teams. This is a 12 month position/1.0 FTE.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist the Director of Athletic Communications in the maintenance of the following: o Athletic website o Athletic social media plan o Statistical records Serve as the technical director for select video streaming efforts o Attend home athletic events for which we stream live o Coordinate camera and play-by-play commentary o Troubleshoot video streaming operation Help recruit, train and oversee student staff and other game day workers Performs additional duties as assigned by the

Director of Athletics Communications Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities :

Bachelor's degree required Knowledge and/or experience in NCAA division III athletics, particularly in the area of sports information, web page management, and video production. Proficient in desktop publishing and web content editing, including MS Office Applications, Presto and NCAA Live Stats statistical software, and Adobe Premier software (InDesign and Photoshop) Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work with young adults while maintaining a high energy, professional attitude. Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along well with diverse personalities while being tactful, mature, and flexible. Must be able to work evening and weekend hours Strong work ethic and ability to be a team player
