Location:
Williston Central School Internal posting - Williston Central School only. This position will remain open until filled. However, applications received within the first seven days of posting will receive priority consideration. Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking a collaborative and organized educator to serve as our Essential Arts Team Leader for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for an individual who can facilitate strong team communication, collaborate effectively with school leadership, and help guide Essential Arts scheduling and programming for our student body. This is a part-time, Category C stipend position. The leadership role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with responsibilities including team facilitation, administrative liaison duties, and scheduling coordination. Primary Responsibilities Work with administration to schedule Essential Arts meetings and distribute timely reminders. Create team agendas with input from department members and facilitate regular Essential Arts team meetings. Serve as the lead Essential Arts liaison to the administration, gathering and sharing EA perspectives on the Universal Schedule and other schoolwide topics. Organize and facilitate monthly "Kid Talk" meetings for the Essential Arts team. Assist administration with creating Essential Arts rotations within the Universal Schedule, including establishing rotation start/end dates and communicating with faculty and staff prior to transitions. Facilitate the process with EA teachers to establish student groupings once year-end student placements are completed. Assist with the placement of mid-year transfer students into appropriate Essential Arts rotations. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Strong organizational and facilitation skills with a commitment to collaborative leadership. Clear communication skills with students, faculty, staff, and administration. Demonstrated ability to navigate scheduling frameworks and coordinate department workflows efficiently. The position is a "category C activity" on our co-curricular contract and compensation is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
